Privacy Policy - Effective May 31, 2026
Gout Tracker is a health journal that keeps your health data on your device. Everything you log - readings, flares, food, medications - stays in the app's local database. We do not require an account and we never receive your health information. We do use a privacy-friendly analytics tool to count app installs and opens (see "Analytics" below).
You may choose to log health-related information, including: uric acid readings, gout flares and pain levels, medications and the doses you enter, food and drinks, water intake, daily check-ins (well-being, mobility), and a basic health profile. You decide what to enter - nothing is required.
All information you enter is stored only on your device, in the app's local database. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party, and it is not synced to the cloud.
To understand how many people install and open the app, we use PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted in the European Union. It records anonymous, app-level events (for example, that the app was installed or opened) together with general technical details such as app version, device model, operating system and language. It uses a random identifier that is not your Apple or Google account and not your advertising ID, and it is not linked to your identity. Your IP address is not stored, and the health information you enter is never sent. This data is used only to measure usage and improve the app - it is never sold and never used for advertising.
We do not collect personal data: no name, email, account or contact details. Your health entries never leave your device. We show no ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not access your advertising identifier (IDFA) or build an advertising profile of you.
If you enable reminders (for medication or hydration), they are scheduled locally on your device. No information leaves your device to deliver them. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
You can generate a PDF summary of your data to share with your doctor. The PDF is created on your device, and you choose whether and how to share it using your device's standard share options. We never receive a copy.
The app may ask for permission to send local notifications. This is optional and used only for the reminders you set up. Denying it does not affect the rest of the app.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are fully in control. You can delete individual entries inside the app, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your device permanently. We hold no copy to delete on your behalf.
Gout Tracker is intended for adults managing their own health and is not directed to children under 13. In any case, the app collects no personal data from anyone.
Gout Tracker helps you log and remember your treatment. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not recommend medications or doses. Always follow your doctor's guidance.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at the same link. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
