VasoLog - Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
Overview
VasoLog ("the App") is a personal health tracker for Raynaud's Phenomenon developed by Aliaksandr Abrashkin (individual developer). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Health data (stays on your device)
- Attack records - severity, duration, color phase, triggers, affected fingers, notes. Stored locally on your device only.
- Photos - optional photos of affected areas. Stored locally on your device only.
- Weather data - temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed. Cached locally for 30 minutes.
Data sent to third parties
- Approximate location - your approximate coordinates are sent to the Open-Meteo weather API to fetch current weather. No account, API key, or device identifier is attached. Open-Meteo may keep technical server logs (which can include the coordinates and IP address) for a limited period as described in their terms; this data is not linked to your identity.
- Crash & diagnostic data - if the app crashes or hits an error, we send the stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and basic performance/diagnostic data to Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry so we can fix bugs and improve stability. No health data, photos, or attack records are included. Each install is identified only by a randomly generated identifier used to group reports; we do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or advertising IDs.
- Anonymous usage analytics (with your consent) - if you accept analytics, anonymous statistics about which screens you open and which features you use (for example, logging an attack or generating a report) are sent to PostHog. This data never includes your attack details, notes, photos, weather, or any health data, and is not linked to your real-world identity. Analytics are active only after you accept the privacy policy, and you can turn them off at any time using the "Anonymous analytics" toggle on the app's About screen.
How We Use Your Data
- All health data is stored exclusively on your device.
- Location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo API only to retrieve current weather conditions.
- Crash and diagnostic data are used solely to improve the app's stability. They are never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
- Anonymous usage analytics, when enabled, are used only to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. They contain no health data and are never used for advertising.
- We do not run ads and do not use advertising tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell, share, or transfer any personal data to third parties beyond the services listed below.
Third-Party Services
- Open-Meteo API (open-meteo.com) - receives approximate geographic coordinates to provide weather data. Free and open-source service. No API key required. May retain technical server logs for a limited period; see Open-Meteo Terms of Service.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC, USA) - receives crash and diagnostic data. Stored on Google servers and processed under Firebase Privacy and Security.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) - receives crash, error, and performance diagnostics. Sending of personally identifiable information is disabled. Processed under Sentry's Privacy Policy.
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc., USA; data hosted on EU Cloud) - receives anonymous product-analytics events, and only after you give consent. No health data is sent. Processed under PostHog's Privacy Policy.
These third-party providers are required to protect your data to the same standard described in this policy and may not use it for advertising.
Analytics, Diagnostics and Your Choices
- Anonymous usage analytics are off until you accept the privacy policy, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using the "Anonymous analytics" toggle on the app's About screen. When disabled, no analytics events are sent.
- Crash and diagnostic reporting is active only when the app is online and never contains health data. If you would prefer it disabled as well, contact us at vika.abr71@gmail.com and we can provide guidance or a diagnostics-free build.
- We do not run ads and do not use advertising tracking SDKs.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; weather features will simply stop working.
Data Storage and Security
- Health data (attack records, photos, notes) is stored locally on your device using the operating system's secure app-private storage (the app sandbox), isolated from other apps.
- No cloud sync or backup of health data is performed.
- Crash and diagnostic data are transmitted over HTTPS to Firebase (Google) and Sentry servers and processed under their standard data protection terms.
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored health data permanently.
Your Rights
- You can export your data via PDF reports at any time.
- You can delete all data by uninstalling the app.
- You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via the "Anonymous analytics" toggle on the app's About screen.
- You can revoke location permission in your device settings.
- The app works fully offline (except weather features).
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
